Vegetable rows growing in a SUCSA climate-smart field in western Kenya

Programmes

Practical work, season by season.

We design programmes that a household can start this month and still be running in five years — with the training, inputs, evidence and partnerships to keep them alive.

Programme 01

Climate-smart schools and 4K clubs

Fruit trees, keyhole and tower gardens, and 4K club mentorship turn school compounds into living classrooms for climate-smart agriculture.

  • Fruit tree planting with pupils and teachers
  • Keyhole and tower kitchen gardens for school nutrition
  • 4K clubs practising climate-smart agriculture year round
  • Awareness sessions on conservation and adaptation

Programme 02

Farmer support services

Practical agronomy for smallholders — soil testing, quality inputs, nurseries and market linkage so households nourish themselves first, then trade.

  • Soil testing programme and fertility advisories
  • Fruit tree nursery establishment
  • Agroecology, water and natural resource efficiency
  • Market hub development and buyer linkage

Programme 03

Capacity building and entrepreneurship

Training modules and a structured curriculum that hand-hold enthusiastic entrepreneurs from vulnerable groups into viable, climate-resilient enterprises.

  • Curriculum and training modules for community groups
  • Financial literacy and enterprise coaching
  • Youth and women's leadership development
  • Group mentorship through first production cycles

Programme 04

Research, advocacy and partnerships

We are the trusted voice of the voiceless — evidence from the field carried into county and national policy dialogue, and into public-private partnerships.

  • Baselines and project blueprint development
  • Policy briefs and stakeholder dialogues
  • Public-private partnership brokering
  • Research collaborations with academic institutions
